Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

In short: Birthday Star is built to work on your device. We do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and the personal details you enter (like a birth date) are used only to calculate your star and are not sent to us.

1. Who we are

This policy applies to the Birthday Star mobile application and the website at birthday-star-af692.web.app (together, the “Service”). If you have any questions, use the button below to reach us.

2. Information the app uses

Information you enter

To reveal your star, the app asks for a date (such as a birth date) and optionally a name, place or occasion. This information is stored locally on your device so your saved stars and settings are there when you return. It is not transmitted to our servers.

Device sensors & permissions

You can grant or revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device Settings. The core experience works even if you decline them.

3. What we do not collect

We do not require accounts or logins. We do not sell or rent personal information. Birth dates and names you type stay on your device for the star calculation and are not uploaded to our servers as a profile.

4. Data storage & retention

Your saved stars, letters, and preferences live in your device’s local storage. You can remove them at any time by deleting saved items in the app or by uninstalling the app, which clears the app’s local data.

5. Third-party services

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, which may collect its own diagnostics and usage data under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Optional map features may load map tiles from third-party map providers when you use them. This website is served by Google Firebase Hosting, which may log standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) as described in Google’s privacy documentation.

Analytics (Firebase / Google Analytics)

On the iOS app we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand installs and feature use (for example app opens and whether someone revealed a star). This helps us measure App Store install campaigns. Event data is processed by Google under their privacy terms.

Advertising (Unity Ads) & App Tracking Transparency

The free app may show a full-screen Unity Ads interstitial after you save a card, save a premium keepsake, or export a reveal video — not when the app first opens. On first launch iOS may show an App Tracking Transparency prompt so we can request permission to use a device advertising identifier for more relevant ads. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the app still works fully and you may still see limited (non-personalized) ads. See also Unity’s privacy policy.

6. Children’s privacy

Birthday Star is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because personal details stay on the device and no account is created, no personal data is transmitted to us.

7. Your rights

Since your data is stored on your device, you remain in control of it: you can view, export (via sharing), and delete it directly in the app. If you have any request or question about privacy, email us and we will help.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
